Buyer Procurement Indirect

Zambon Switzerland SA, the Swiss affiliate of the multinational pharmaceutical group Zambon, based in Cadempino (Canton Ticino), is looking for a Buyer to join its Indirect Procurement team.

We are looking for a highly challenge-driven individual with a strong appetite for change and continuous improvement, who will contribute to the evolution of purchasing strategies and processes while developing valuable partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

By leveraging advanced digital tools, the successful candidate will support the management of indirect spend categories and the optimization of internal processes, contributing to sustainable value creation for the organization in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and drive digitalization and innovation within Procurement processes through the use of Data Analytics and AI solutions, transforming data and market insights into effective purchasing strategies and actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively conduct supplier scouting, qualification and evaluation activities at both national and international level, optimizing the supplier base and ensuring competitiveness, reliability and continuity of supply.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring maximum value generation and optimization of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Manage indirect procurement, MRO and CAPEX activities, including laboratory materials, industrial spare parts, services and Facility Management, from needs definition through negotiation and contract execution.
  • Manage tenders and e-Sourcing processes through SAP Ariba (RFI, RFP, RFQ), supporting supplier onboarding, electronic catalogue management and the optimization of the Procure-to-Pay cycle.
  • Analyze spend, TCO, market benchmarks and supplier performance, identifying opportunities for savings, cost optimization, vendor consolidation and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and develop relationships with strategic suppliers, promoting continuous improvement initiatives, compliance and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, QA/QC, Finance, IT and Plant Operations, fostering effective collaboration, innovation and continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer, with responsibility for managing indirect spend categories, preferably within the pharmaceutical, chemical or cosmetics industry.
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing, supplier management and compliance in regulated environments (GMP).
  • Knowledge of key regulations related to contractual compliance and data privacy.
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Buying and Contracts) and integration with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
  • Good knowledge of analytics and data visualization tools, such as Power BI or equivalent.
  • Strong negotiation, spend analysis and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
