Job Description:

MISSION

  • Contribute to a safe engineering watch in a manned engine-room or designated to perform duties in a periodically unmanned engine-room. Perform the marine engineering function at support level as indicated in regulation III/4 and/or III/5. Execute the assigned work tasks within the frame of own responsibilities and/or qualifications. Maintain safe working practices

TASKS

  • Report to Engineer on watch, execute the assigned work tasks within the frame of own responsibilities
  • Assist with engine room operations and watch keeping
  • Carry out maintenance as directed by own STCW regulation

Qualifications

  • STCW required certificates, National CoP Reg. III/4 (seniority Junior/Expert)
  • STCW required certificates, National CoP Reg. III/5 (seniority Senior)
  • Completion of all training and certifications as described in the Training Matrix

Experience: minimum 2 years to cover Expert position

STCW Fire prevention and firefighting (PE) A-VI/1-2

STCW Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boat (other than fast rescue boat) (1) A-VI/2-1
STCW Advanced firefighting (1) A-VI/3
STCW Security awareness (1) A-VI/6-1
STCW Seafarers with designated security duties (1) A-VI/6-2
OPITO H2S awareness course (1) - -
OPITO Basic offshore safety & emergency training including HUET and CA-EBS (1) - -

What are we looking for?

Education: Certificate of Proficiency

Languages: English Language skills required

Technical Knowledge: minimum 2 years offshore experience

  • Contract valid until 30.06.2027 (subject to extension according to Company needs)
