Purpose of the position: The Methods and Discipline Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing, and optimizing working methods, operational procedures, and maintenance plans for company assets. This role ensures that all engineering designs and technical interventions strictly adhere to international engineering codes, company standards, and asset integrity criteria. Additionally, the role provides specialized support for major shutdowns, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical validation across departments.and reports to Technical Manager.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and optimize working methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance execution plans to enhance asset reliability.
  • Ensure that all engineering projects, modifications, and technical interventions strictly comply with industry standards, international codes, and asset integrity requirements.
  • Support the technical preparation and scope definition for major shutdowns (Turnarounds), engineering modification campaigns, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor engineering key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing trends to propose solutions that eliminate operational bottlenecks and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide specialized technical assistance to maintenance, operations, and procurement teams, validating technical specifications for materials, equipment, and contracted services.

What are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process, or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven experience as a Methods and Discipline Engineer within the Oil & Gas sector, with a strong focus on Onshore facilities).

Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory (required for compiling technical reports, reviewing international methodologies, and cross-border collaboration).

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), and RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) methodologies.

Advanced capability to read, redline, and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Isometrics, and electrical single-line diagrams.

Strong familiarity with global engineering standards, such as API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, and IEC, relevant to onshore processing and storage facilities.

Expertise in critical path analysis, scope optimization, and resource scheduling for major maintenance events.

IT Skills: Advanced administrative proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP PM, AMOS, or Maximo) for managing master data, asset hierarchies, task lists, and preventive maintenance plans.

Familiarity with engineering design and simulation software (such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, or process simulators like HYSYS) to review technical modifications.

Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, macros) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to build, analyze, and present engineering KPI dashboards.
