Quality Control Technician

Job Summary: To ensure the quality of components and materials by performing detailed inspections, using specific equipment and procedures as instructed by the QC lead.

Duties/Responsibilities
● Provide detailed in-process and final inspections on components and materials,
● Use detailed drawings, CAD models, and established processes to verify conformance to manufacturing and design requirements.
● Ensure company policies and procedures are followed for the receiving, production, and storage of all items and materials.
● Report all non-conformance (NC) by means of defined company procedures, to the production planning office, the purchasing department, and engineering
● Implement authorization for use of NC items under approved exception.
● Maintain calibration of quality control equipment or Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
● Perform inspections across all stages of production

Required Skills/Abilities
● Team Oriented
● Strong communication skills; able to effectively communicate with engineering and production groups
● Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities and tasks as delegated
● Verbal and written communication proficiency
● Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
● Familiar with Geometrical Dimensional Tolerancing (GD&T)
● Proficient in use of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc)


Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch. Constant standing throughout the shift is required.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel: This position does not require travel.

Preferred Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Engineering and/or technical degree a plus.

ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
