Supply Planning Senior Specialist

The Role:

Reporting to the Central Supply Planning & Distribution Associate Director, the Supply Planning Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and effective supply of finished products for different markets.

The role is responsible for ensuring product availability for the market while maintaining inventory levels in line with company targets.

Working within the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, the Supply Planning Senior Specialist collaborates closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing Plants and cross-functional teams to ensure an efficient and resilient end-to-end supply chain.

Main Responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop and maintain medium- and long-term replenishment plans and purchasing forecast from third parties.
  • Analyze supply scenarios, capacity constraints, inventory levels and potential supply risks, proposing appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Monitor planning parameters, safety stock levels and replenishment strategies to optimize inventory and service level.
  • Coordinate supply planning activities for products manufactured by Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs), ensuring alignment with production schedules and contractual commitments.
  • Participate in regular supply review meetings with affiliates and manufacturing plants to review demand evolution, supply constraints and action plans.
    Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle together with Demand Planning, Manufacturing Planning and other Supply Planning functions, contributing to the development of a feasible and balanced supply plan.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Plants, External Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure timely product availability, support product launches, artwork changes, regulatory variations and supply continuity initiatives.
  • Manage supply exceptions and coordinate recovery plans in case of shortages, production delays or unexpected demand changes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning processes, system utilization and supply chain performance.
  • Monitor and report planning KPIs, including service level, inventory, stock coverage and forecast adherence.

What we are looking for:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Supply Planning within finished goods manufacturing companies, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory management and replenishment planning.
  • Experience working with Advanced Planning Systems; knowledge of Maestro (Kinaxis) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing, procurement and distribution processes, including Third Party Manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge in SAP 4/HANA and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
