Area Sales Manager - Eastern Spain/Catalonia area

For our client, a multinational leader in the design and manufacture of precision measuring instruments and automated liquid handling solutions (biotechnology sector), we are looking for a:

Area Sales Manager - Eastern Spain/Catalonia area

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for the area

  • Identify and acquire new customers to expand our market presence in the given area

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term business growth

  • Demonstrate and present process analytical technology and related accessories to prospective clients

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions

  • Willingness to travel in the region up to 70% visiting clients (occasionally abroad for team meetings or training)

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of sales experience with proven track record in technical sales, ideally within process automation or sensor technology

  • Technical education in a STEM matter (electronics, engineering, chemistry, biology or similar)

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, but not essential

  • Knowledge regarding process sensors used in the above-mentioned industries' processes is an advantage

  • You are technology savvy (Microsoft office, CRM systems, etc.)

  • You speak Spanish and/or Catalan and are fluent in English, written and spoken (C1 level)

The profile is completed by:

  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong team player, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.

Location: Catalonia or surrounding areas.

Offer: The position offers an initial gross annual salary ranging from €60,000-€70,000, under a full-time employment contract.
