Job Title: Lifting Supervisor

Location: Pemba, Offshore Mozambique

Core Responsibilities

  • Lifting Operations: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all crane and rigging operations, including complex and routine lifts.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct pre-lift briefings (toolbox talks), risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure all lifting procedures meet strict offshore HSE and company standards.
  • Equipment Inspection: Audit and inspect lifting appliances, slings, shackles, and cranes to ensure valid third-party certifications and color-coding are up to date.
  • Crew Management: Supervise deck crews, crane operators, and riggers, ensuring they wear correct PPE and follow safe communication/signaling protocols.
  • Marine Duties: Assist the Marine Operations Superintendent with deck operations, cargo transfers, bunkering, and waste management.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years of offshore experience in oil and gas, with a strong preference for FPSO or FLNG environments.
  • Certifications: Advanced Rigging/Lifting qualifications (e.g., OPITO Stage 3/4, LOLER Competent Person, or equivalent) and Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) certification.
  • Knowledge: Expert understanding of load dynamics, crane capacities, and offshore weather limitations.
