Purpose of the position: As Civil and Structural Lead you will respond to the department CIVFA-Fano Civil Engineering and be part of the ENCAR. In this role you will manage a dedicated team – if applicable.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

  • Development of technological know-how and support to commercial activities.

  • Providing technical support to other project disciplines and functions for specialist matters, including procurement and construction activities.

  • Ensuring the achievement of project quality and contractual objectives.

  • Monitoring project progress, controlling man-hour consumption and tracking cost and man-hour variations.

  • Preparing technical annexes for subcontracted engineering activities and ensuring subcontractor coordination and monitoring.

  • Ensuring proper interdisciplinary workflows, quality control processes and final client approval of all project documentation.

  • Supporting management in technical interfaces with clients.

  • Issuing purchase requisitions, ensuring technical bid evaluations and managing vendor follow-up activities.

  • Supporting construction activities through the implementation of site engineering solutions.

  • Supporting bidding activities by analyzing tender documentation, coordinating activities according to project schedules, handling technical queries and deviations, defining requests for quotations for unpriced items, coordinating material and construction quantity estimates, and preparing engineering man-hour estimates.

  • Preparing technical specifications for geotechnical and topographical surveys, structural steel works, and building design/construction activities.

  • Preparing technical specifications for civil engineering works.

  • Providing technical and engineering solutions that offer advantages in terms of cost, constructability and safety, while mitigating quantity growth during project execution.

  • Planning and executing assigned engineering activities, including detailed design, checking, and all activities typical of civil engineering.2

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in:

  • Civil Engineering

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering

  • Building Engineering and Architecture

Minimum graduation grade: 100/110.

Experience: 5–10 years of experience as Civil and Structural lead Engineer, preferably in the Oil & Gas plant engineering sector, gained within structured engineering companies (preferably listed companies) and/or engineering consulting

Languages: English (level B2)

Technical/IT Skills:

  • Knowledge of calculation methods for the design of foundations, concrete works, reinforced concrete and steel structures, including ground improvement techniques.

  • Knowledge of construction materials and related testing methods aimed at understanding their characteristics and performance.

  • Ability to prepare technical reports and calculation sheets, as well as estimate quantities for bid preparation based on preliminary data or project changes during execution.

  • Knowledge of structural analysis software and calculation tools.

  • Knowledge of major international standards and codes, with the ability to analyze project requirements in relation to local regulations and identify the appropriate implementation actions.

  • Ability to define quantity estimation guidelines and ensure their correct application by project teams and subcontractors.

  • Ability to manage subcontracted engineering work packages by defining scope, milestones and schedules, and controlling quality, costs and delivery times in compliance with project objectives and contractual requirements.

  • Ability to perform technical evaluations of material and service suppliers’ bids.

  • Ability to define project scope in order to meet client needs and expectations.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills with project teams and other involved departments and stakeholders.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to organize work independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Strong willingness to learn, deepen knowledge and continuously update competencies.

  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage emergencies and set priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization and accuracy in both task execution and document preparation.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

What else should you know? You will have the opportunity to travel abroad based on the projects you will work for and within the project and yard assigned.
