Research units focus on topics such as secure and trustworthy AI, physical AI and multi-agent systems while the deployment unit is responsible for supporting the adoption of AI solutions by companies and industrial organizations.

Through the System User Knowledge (SUK), AI4I helps companies identify AI adoption opportunities, assess their needs, and connect them with a curated ecosystem of technology providers, startups, researchers and innovation partners capable of delivering practical solutions.

Role Summary

Within our System User Knowledge (SUK) platform, we are hiring an Account Manager who will be responsible for managing relationships with companies throughout their engagement journey with AI4I. The role combines stakeholder management, operational coordination and business relationship development, ensuring continuity between assessment activities, solution matching, and follow-up interactions.

This is a highly collaborative position for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, coordinating multiple stakeholders and helping companies successfully navigate innovation and AI adoption initiatives.

Success in this role will be measured through company engagement levels, quality of stakeholder relationships, progression of matching opportunities, user satisfaction and contribution to the growth and effectiveness of the SUK ecosystem.

You Will Work Closely With

  • Analytics Translators and technical teams, ensuring continuity between business needs, assessments and subsequent activities.
  • Technology providers and ecosystem partners, facilitating interactions and supporting the progression of opportunities.
  • Corporate and SME representatives helping organizations identify priorities and maximize value from their engagement with AI4I.
  • Internal program and operations teams, contributing to process effectiveness and service quality.

What You Will Do

  • Manage relationships with companies and stakeholders throughout the full lifecycle of the service.
  • Coordinate meetings, follow-ups and ongoing interactions, ensuring clarity of objectives, responsibilities and next steps.
  • Build trusted relationships with companies, acting as a consistent point of contact throughout their engagement with AI4I.
  • Apply negotiation and stakeholder management skills to align expectations, facilitate decision-making and support mutually beneficial outcomes among companies, providers and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor opportunity pipelines, account status, engagement levels and potential risks, proactively identifying actions required to maintain momentum.
  • Support the interaction between companies and technology providers, ensuring effective communication and high-quality collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Translators to ensure consistency between identified business needs, assessments and follow-on activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and customer journeys.
  • Contribute to the optimization and implementation of workflows, CRM processes and automation initiatives to support the efficient management of a growing portfolio of accounts while maintaining a high-quality user experience.
  • Maintain accurate records, meeting notes, CRM updates and operational documentation according to team standards.
  • Support company outreach and pipeline development activities when required.

About You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Scientific disciplines or related fields.
  • 2–3 years of experience in account management, customer success, business development or similar client-facing B2B roles.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Understanding of business needs and operational processes within industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in digital innovation and Artificial Intelligence solutions for industrial applications.
  • Strong operational discipline and experience using CRM and collaboration tools.
  • Professional proficiency in Italian and English.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in AI startup ecosystems, technology transfer, applied research environments, consulting or open innovation programs.
  • Experience working across both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with AI, digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement, workflow design or operational automation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the SME landscape and innovation adoption challenges.
