Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern
Location: GVS TM - On-Site

Reports To: General Manger
Employment Type: Internship Full-Time

Position Summary:

The EHS Intern will support the Environmental Health and Safety team in implementing and maintaining programs that promote safe and compliant work environments. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related fields. The intern will gain hands-on experience in compliance auditing, data analysis, training development, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the facility.
  • Support environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management, air and water quality monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Help maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories.
  • Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct research on EHS regulations, best practices, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and delivering EHS training and awareness materials.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on EHS performance metrics (e.g., near-misses, TRIR, recycling rates).
  • Help prepare documentation for regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 14,001 and Management System implementation
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, or other EHS regulations is a plus.
  • Prior EHS or manufacturing experience is a plus
