THE ROLE

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.

The Optical Approaches to Brain Function Research Unit is coordinated by Dr. Tommaso Fellin and focuses on understanding the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying sensory perception.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation of common solutions, genotyping, immunostaining, confocal microscopy acquisitions
  • Organization and collaboration in the SPF Facility
  • Assistance with ordering of reagents, consumables and durables
  • Assistance with laboratory experiments

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Laboratory technician high school Diploma or Bachelor/Master degree in Biology or a similar discipline
  • Documented experience as laboratory technician
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Accuracy and good analytical skills

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • A yearly gross salary ranging between 22.000 euros and 25000 euros
  • Private health care coverage
  • Candidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
