Fired Equipment Engineer

As Fired Equipment Engineer, you will join our Department/Function MEC, in the business line ENCAR, conducting the following activities:

  • Execute the project activities following Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow.
  • Critical review of general specifications (Client’s / Licensor’s / Others’) for the assigned equipment, to identify possible criticalities
  • Performance of thermal design for fired heaters and relevant accessories (APH system, ducting, stack, machinery, etc.)
  • For fired heaters, preparation of API mechanical datasheet on Saipem/project form (basically A4 or A3 Excel file) taking in charge thermodynamic calculation outputs and project requirements, including conceptual general arrangement drawing.
  • Preparation of sketches or conceptual drawings (when required) for flares and incinerators.
  • Prepare Mechanical Data Sheet, Inspection Data Sheet, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation
  • Manage interfaces with Vendors, being the focal point for assigned supplies
  • Execute Vendors’ Documents follow-up.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests and site inspections
  • Provide input and recommendations for equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams disciplines (process, civil, piping, instrumentation & controls, electrical, metallurgy, projects management, procurement, inspection, logistics, commissioning and construction) to ensure the successful integration of fired equipment into overall project plant design.

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Professional English Level

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: Permanent Contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and design of fired equipment in the oil and gas industry

IT SKILLS: Proficient in FRNC-5PC and MS Office Tools

POWER SKILLS: Excellent problem-solving, effective communication and teamwork skills

LOCATION: Milan

MOBILITY:

  • Availability to travel for short periods (1 week to 1 Month)
  • Availability to be relocated abroad in both International Saipem Engineering Centers and or in Construction Site for a minimum of a year
