THE ROLE

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.

The Brain development and Disease Research Unit manages the study of the molecular/cellular underpinning of neurodevelopmental disorders to find new potential therapeutic approaches and is coordinated by Dr Laura Cancedda.

This project has been funded to research on the long-lasting negative sequelae of stress exposure during life.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Molecular biology.
  • Cell biology.
  • Behavioral experiments.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in life/natural sciences, medicine, pharmacy, bioengineering or a similar discipline
  • Documented experience in neurobiology
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Autonomy in performing the main responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • A competitive salary package plus 15% Bonus Option.

  • Candidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
