INTERNATIONAL OFFSHORE TRAINING AND COMPETENCE OFFICER

As International Offshore Training and Competence Officer, you will join our Corporate Staff in the Development & Learning Department, conducting the following activities:

ACTIVITIES

  • Oversee the training of personnel working aboard naval vessels, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, with a specific focus on training requirements
     
  • Coordinate the delivery of training through both internal and external training centers, managing complex organizational settings and ensuring broad coverage
  • Support to the Department Manager for corrective actions plans implementation and management arising from maritime audits, port state control inspections, internal audits

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Sciences and Maritime Activities Management, Maritime Economy and Management, International Relations or Legal/Human Resources. For applicants without a degree specific to maritime activities, an experience in maritime affairs in institutions such as international organisations, naval registers, maritime-related firms is considered a suitable alternative.

KNOWLEDGE OF LANGUAGES: Proficiency in English is a mandatory requirement. Knowledge of other languages is considered an additional asset.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in managing training activities, particularly in international environment and/or maritime/offshore-related training. It is required a deep knowledge of key maritime regulations, with a specific focus on the STCW Convention on training and the ISM Code. Familiarity with audit-related topics.

IT SKILLS:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Nice to have: Power BI and other Office 365 applications for management and data analysis
  • Ability to manage and analyze data using dedicated management tools, business intelligence reporting, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to set up and maintain an up-to-date management system for onboard personnel training

SOFT SKILLS: Curiosity, autonomy, flexibility, critical ability, attitude to the study of maritime regulations. Teambuilding and adaptability.

NICE TO HAVE: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in training on one or more of the following topics: Dynamic Positioning (DP), OPITO standard training, lifting operations, scaffolding, electrical/electronic/hydraulic equipment in industrial facilities.

LOCATION: Milan

Willingness to occasionally travel abroad is required
