As Piping & Layout Engineer Lead you will join our Department of TUB, in the business line Energy Carriers.
The resource will ensure the execution of Piping Engineering activities within the costs and times provided by the contract and in accordance with the strategies defined by the project management, coordinating a team of resources commensurate with the size and type of plant. The team includes various figures such as Piping Material Engineer, Piping Flexibility Engineer, Piping Designer, and Piping Engineer of various backgrounds and nationalities.
The technologies of the plants currently under design include, but are not limited to: gas treatment, upstream, LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, geothermal, biorefinery, polyethylene. The activities will be:
· Design of plant layout;
· Design of critical piping routes starting from process diagrams (P&ID) and layouts considering aspects such as: accessibility, maintainability, safety, thermal displacements, material costs;
· MTO of piping materials based on P&ID and layouts;
· Interpretation of technical specifications identifying critical aspects;
· Skills in module design and impacts related to module transportation;
· Analysis and interpretation of contractual clauses and critical analysis of client requests;
· Planning activities, commenting on project schedules, delegating tasks to collaborators, and continuously monitoring progress;
· Managing technical discussions with stakeholders, both internal (Project Management, construction, procurement) and external (customer, JV partners, entities);
· Critical analysis of project roadmaps and active participation in defining project execution strategy;
· Continuous monitoring of cost and hour budgets;
· Timely management and issuance of change orders and variations from the base scope;
· Managing the procurement chain for piping materials.
QUALIFICATION: Technical Diploma or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: B2/C1
LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
· Proven experience in the design of industrial plants in the oil & gas, petrochemical, renewable, floaters sectors
· In addition to the technical background, the profile is completed by a constructive and effective approach in managing conflicts, both technical and character-related, that may arise during the critical phases of a project.
SOFT SKILLS: Strong attitude to work in a multicultural environment and in team.
LOCATION: Milano HO. Availability to travel for short and long period in Italy and abroad, both at engineering centers and construction sites
