THE ROLE

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.

The Brain Development and Disease Research Unit manages the investigation of brain diseases and is coordinated by Dr. Laura Cancedda.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Molecular/cellular biology and organoids
  • Behavioral experiments
  • Technical support to the research activities

This open positions are funded by Progetto National Center for Gene Therapy and Drugs based on RNA Technology, CUP J33C22001130001, ammesso a finanziamento del MUR con Decreto Direttoriale di concessione delle agevolazioni n.1035 del 17 giugno 2022, in risposta all’Avviso N. 3138 del 16/12/2021 che dà attuazione all’investimento 1.4 –“ Potenziamento strutture di ricerca e creazione di “campioni nazionali di R&S” su alcune Key Enabling Technologies”, Componente 2 “Dalla ricerca all’impresa” del Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza, commessa EPNRRCN3.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in life/natural sciences, medicine, pharmacy, bioengineering or a similar discipline
  • Documented experience in neurobiology
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations

  • Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • A competitive salary package
  • Candidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
