GVS has developed a flexible and dynamic structure with advanced technological skills. GVS is currently recruiting the following position:
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
-Accounts Payable, includes processing invoices, following up with vendors and resolving discrepancies
-Process weekly check run
-Filing and Records retention
-Assist the Controller with day-to day, monthly and year-end tasks of the department
-Perform the processing of monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation and recording of journal entries
-Review entered expenses for discrepancies and inconsistencies compared to budget
-Review invoices for cost variances and accuracy
-Preform general account analysis and reconciliations
-Seek and implement continuous improvements
-Misc. data entry as needed
Experience/technical skills required include:
-Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Finance /Accounting
-Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable and supplier communication
-Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word– Previous Experience with Microsoft GP is a plus
-Enhanced verbal and interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
