Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. This role serves as a key support to the HR department, ensuring that HR policies and procedures align with company goals while fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Assist in sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates.
    • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
    • Maintain job descriptions and assist with workforce planning.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance.
    • Assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Compliance & Policies:
    • Ensure company policies align with labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality.
    • Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Support benefits enrollment and administration.
    • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, leave, and benefits.
    • Collaborate with finance/payroll teams for accurate processing.
  • Training & Development:
    • Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives.
    • Support leadership in succession planning and career development efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Experience with California regulations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with recruitment, payroll, or employee engagement programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
