PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As Subsea Tech. Superintendent, you will join our Offshore Trenching Department, in the business line Asset Based Services, conducting the following activities:

  • Coordinate and supervise Subsea Technology installation/construction activities on board, in order to ensure efficiency, meet established deadlines, project specifications, quality procedures and standards
  • Ensure that Subsea Technology projects are performed in accordance with Saipem policy procedures
  • Manage Subsea and Trenching Operations, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and established time schedules.
  • Ensure the interdisciplinary coordination of all the works carried out on board, including but not limited to ROV, trenching equipment, PRS, subsea equipment, etc.
  • Coordinate Program Schedule for works carried out directly/handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problem on board and optimizing the use of materials, work teams and available equipment, ensuring the correct maintenance of equipment and asset used
  • Coordinate and carry out Subsea operations, ensuring technical and safety compliance
  • Supervise Subsea Remote Equipment launch, recovery and piloting
  • Supervise mobilization and demobilization of Subsea Remote Equipment systems on-board vessels and barges
  • Ensure the technical maintenance and upgrade of the complete Subsea Remote Equipment System including ancillary equipment
  • Represent the PM for relevant Subsea Remote Equipment aspects in front of the Client Representative
  • Assist and support the Project Team in the solution of the technical and management issues within the assigned area
  • Participate to the Project Risk Assessment
  • Assist the Master with regard to all the Emergency situations
  • Liaise with the Master on the coordination of the Vessel spread supporting Subsea Remote operations
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with Company and Project HSE requirements
  • Motivate the crew with regard to the observation of HSE requirements, also through leading personnel example, and promote their contents in meetings and dedicated initiatives
  • Ensure the continuous implementation of technical and organizational improvements in order to reduce risks at the lowest possible level
  • Ensure personnel training for technical operations and safety standards/qualifications
  • Ensure that the daily Tool box and JSA, if required, have been carried out according to the procedures
  • Ensure that the Permit Worksystem for construction crew is adhered and respected
  • Be aware of the ISM Code and MLC 2006 in order to ensure the safety at work with regard to the construction crew
  • Ensure that all documents and work reports, as provided in the contract or required according to Saipem procedures, are issued, up-to-date and stored
  • Establish and perform system audits for operations, administrative and maintenance compliance according to Saipem policy

QUALIFICATION: Master Degree/Bachelor Degree/Diploma in naval or mechanical engineering

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: English B1

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5-10

IT SKILLS: Office 365
