The origins of GVS initially focused on medical filters for blood and IV solutions. Today GVS provides a wide range of innovative products, including standard and custom devices for laboratory filtration, anesthesia, intensive therapy, and respiratory medicine.

The corporate headquarters of the GVS Group is located in Italy and has business units across Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Romania, South Korea, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, UK, USA, and Vietnam.

 

The core responsibility of this role is to manage and develop the distribution of the GVS range of masks and other filtration solutions within GVS distribution network, in both the industrial and healthcare sectors.

Elements of these product ranges are already established in commercial and industrial market segments. The entire range is made in the UK in GVS’ manufacturing plant based in Lancashire, which employs more than 400 people.

The core activity of the role will be to expand the current level of interaction, and communication with the relevant departments within the distribution network in order to develop further the usage of the product, and to maximize growth in market share within the respective arenas.

Job Description:

  • Build rapport with key end user decision makers
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals;
  • Build a strong and structured pipeline to facilitate continued growth in sales.
  • Achieve all growth targets set.
  • Work collaboratively with the customer to develop new products via trials, and focus groups
  • Become a valued and trusted partner to customers
  • Deliver first class sales presentations to clients;
  • Find and participate in tender and framework activity.
  • Prepare cost analyses to be used in quoting
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates;
  • Travel domestically as required for relevant trade shows and to customer locations;
  • Represent GVS at trade association meetings and shows to promote product;
  • Develop and implement a sector specific marketing strategy;
  • Prepare monthly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Responsible for sales number for his/her product line;
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the activities and products of competitors;
  • Perform day to day sales admin - quoting and following-up with customers;
  • Recommend budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work;
  • Handle customer complaints and requests, at any level from Customer Service to Purchasing to Executive Management.

 

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or;
  • 5-10 years of experience in the PPE/Industrial sales an advantage;
  • Proven track record in generating new business and maximizing potential within existing accounts;

 

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent face to face and digital presentation skills
  • Engineering experience in the air respiratory field;
  • Experience of Face Fit Testing, ideally F2F qualified.
  • Current knowledge of the NHS from the End User and supply chain perspective;
