As Instrumentation & Automation Leader, you will join our Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Automation and Telecommunication, in the business line ROIS.
He/she will oversee the Instrumentation, Telecommunication, Control and Safety Systems for international projects within the Renewable Sources and Circular Economy sectors handling and coordinating complex Instrumentation and Control Systems engineering design, analysis, and development of an assigned scope of work in a project and/or specific complex supply such as DCS, SIS, FGS, BMS, MMS, CCS, packaged Equipment UCPs, Flow Metering System, Instrumented Storage Systems as well as Field Instrumentation , Automated Valves and miscellaneous Telecommunication Systems.
The Instrument and Automation Leader will report to the Technical and Project Managers assigned to the Project and to the Head of Engineering while preparing the execution strategy of the project and assure its application throughout the entire project life; Within medium size projects he/she ensures the coordination of teams within Saipem’s Group, outsourced personnel, and Telecom Systems Integrators.
Within the Division, the Instrument and Automation Leader has also the duty to provide guidance to the Head of Engineering on any problems related to the application of procedures and working methods, in order to improve the efficiency of the department and hold training courses according to Company needs, and to compare with colleagues within the Group, on new design techniques.
Functional job responsibilities, complying with either BASIC, Industrialisation, FEED or EPC project design phases, will include the coordination of following activities:
