POSITION: Estimating Coordinator

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of estimators, teaching the skills below, training them on-the-job, guiding their work and guaranteeing the quality of their deliverables;
  • Structure and optimize the team, elaborating working instruction and templates;
  • Make cost elaboration of large size infrastructure projects, preferably SURF EPCI, covering Engineering, Project Management, Fabrication, Marine Base, Vessels and Offshore Installation;
  • Knowledge of Construction Cost Estimation methodologies, ability to understand bids received from market scouting and verifying the alignment to contract requirements evaluating potential cost implication of deviations;
  • Manage complete project cost estimation critically analyzing different cost estimate solutions on the basis of external input or elements arising from new contexts, supporting the risk evaluation with cost estimate elements;
  • Knowledge of Material Cost Estimation methodologies, ability to understand bids received from market scouting and verifying the alignment to contract requirements evaluating potential cost implication of deviations;
  • Must have knowledge of labor cost issues, processes and methodologies;
  • Knowledge of principles and basics linked to the cost allocation, cash flow calculation and wip monitoring for projects. Capability to analyze project financial needs both from a contractual point of view (i.e. bank guarantees, invoicing process) and internal requirements (hedging strategy). Ability to identify project financial needs liaising with AFC depts. and to propose to PMT solutions to be discussed with clients;
  • Preparation of tender documents, inviting and opening of tenders, pre-qualification, evaluation of bids, award of work, etc.) assuring compliance with company policy and procedures;
  • Execute methods used to analyze economic operative risks and the techniques used to identify and assess factors that may jeopardize the success of a project or achieving a goal;
  • Analyze and understand Project Schedules and to cost it based on Procurement Quotations and/or Internal Benchmarks
  • Elaborate cost and price benchmark databases and Analysis.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or Finance;
  • Experience with O&G Industry;
  • Experience working in Cost / Price estimation of SURF EPCI Projects (covering PMT, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Marine Base, offshore operations);
  • Fluency in tax scheme definition and revision of tax burdens/percentages;
  • Fluency in financial calculation (cash flow, financial costs, hedging);
  • Experience in a full estimation of an SURF EPCI project as  as the main/principal estimator in charge of delivering the final estimation or as a coodinator;
  • Experience in team coordination is a differential;
  • Understanding of Escalation Indexes and escalation forecast techniques using excel;
  • Proficiency in tax and special tax regimes applicable to the Brazilian O&G industry;
  • Knowledge of International Tax Law, treaties and their application to identify potential impacts on project/company cash flow and on financial risk level
  • Knowledge of Local Taxation Rules and capability to interpret them;
  • Proficiency in EXCEL, specifically  in the Goal Seek, Dynamic Table, Scenarios, Conditional Formatting and statistical package;
  • Programming capabilities in EXCEL VBA are a differential;
  • Fluent English level.
