CONTRACT EXECUTION MANAGER

We are looking for a Resource to be employed as Contract Manager, within the Contract Management Function, supporting Saipem Business Lines to deploy Contract Management activities, covering the Saipem portfolio during pre-qualification, qualification, tender and commercial phase, including handover to the execution team in case of award.

The selected candidate shall:

  • Review and qualify (or draft) different types of contracts and agreements, including but not limited to: EPC/EPCM, transportation and installation, services contracts, as well as associated confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure and restrictive use agreements; partnership/consortium/joint venture/alliance agreements and subcontract agreements.
  • Manage the workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement Functions, collecting and merging the inputs from the other relevant internal Functions, including Insurance, Tax, Finance, Licensing and Business Integrity.
  • Prepare contract summaries and reports on tender/project specific basis.
  • Advise the interested Functions and Company’s Corporate Management on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions.
  • Participate in meetings with Clients, Partners and Subcontractors, negotiating the contractual instruments with the counterparties in the best interests of the Company and in accordance with Company risk policies.
  • Support the Procurement function in the review of subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Support the Finance structure in the review and definition of the financial instruments associated to the contracts (like bonds and other form of guarantees, including parent company guarantees).
  • Draft all related legal instruments and correspondence.
  • Perform legal research, e.g., case law affecting Company market space.
  • Have knowledge of the industry standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs’ etc.).
  • Assist in the resolution of legal and contractual matters, in coordination with the relevant Corporate Functions.
  • Regularly report to the Company’s Corporate Management on the Contract Management activities.

Master’s Degree in Law

Requirements

  • Energy or Construction contracts previous experience (5+ years).
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Knowledge and experience of English Law.
  • Previous experience in reviewing and advising on tendering contracts
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and influencing skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • International mobility both for short missions and potentially for mid or long-term assignments.
