Senior Business Developer Socks & Accessories

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Developer Socks & Accessories to spearhead and oversee our socks business across the European marketplace.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping, managing, and executing strategies to drive growth in both the digital and physical retail spaces, with a specific focus on key accounts, mass market, and special retail segments. This role will require a deep understanding of the European retail landscape, an ability to foster strong cross-functional partnerships, and hands-on leadership in optimizing the distribution process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for the socks business within Champion Brand’s European marketplace.
    • Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to refine product placement, pricing, and positioning strategies.
    • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across key accounts, mass market, and special retail channels.
  • Account Management and Regional Collaboration
    • Work closely with regional teams to strengthen relationships with key accounts, ensuring alignment on sales objectives, promotional strategies, and brand representation.
    • Directly manage mass market and special retail segments, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales performance.
    • Align business priorities with regional teams, providing strategic guidance and support to address market-specific needs.
  • Channel Development: Online, Wholesale and Retail
    • Oversee and optimize the distribution strategy across online, wholesale, and Champion’s own retail channels to ensure consistent brand representation and maximize reach.
    • Collaborate with e-commerce and retail teams to develop tailored approaches for each channel, enhancing customer engagement and optimizing the customer journey.
  • Cross-functional Partnership
    • Partner with the Never-Out-of-Stock (NOOS) team to ensure consistent product availability across all channels.
    • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure the socks category aligns with brand standards, customer expectations, and market demands.
  • Operational Enablement and Support
    • Coordinate with logistics, sourcing, IT, and warehouse teams to secure critical enablers for seamless operations, identifying and mitigating bottlenecks in the supply chain.
    • Ensure adherence to Champion’s quality standards and sustainability initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 

Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, retail management, or category management, ideally within the apparel, footwear, or accessories industry.
  • Proven track record in managing a product category across diverse retail channels (online, offline, wholesale, and retail).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, sourcing, and IT processes as they relate to retail distribution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Full proficiency in professional English.
