DEPARTMENT/FUNCTION: Mechanical Equipment Engineer

As Packages Lead, you will join our Department/Function Mechanical Equipment Engineering, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities:

Bid Phase:

  • Multi-disciplinary coordination of packages.
  • Preparation of technical specifications, inspection and test requirements and material requisitions.
  • Preparation of equipment package documentation, information, communications, data sheets, engineering specifications, and ensuring conformance to all Codes.
  • Technical evaluation of vendor quotations including preparation of technical bid comparisons.
  • Technical support for negotiations with equipment vendors.
  • Assistance with preparation of project plans, schedules, labor budgets, equipment cost estimation and status reports.

Execution phase:

  • Participation in kick-off, pre-inspection meetings (PIM) and supplier coordination meetings.
  • Ensuring each package is delivered in compliance with the specified technical requirements, within the agreed schedule and approved budget to achieve its successful transition into operation.
  • Continued multi-disciplinary coordination of packages.
  • Review and comment on vendor documentation, in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Review and verification of related detail design engineering documents.
  • Liaison with quality manager / inspection coordinator to ensure implementation of inspection and testing plans and resolve quality issues based on sound engineering decisions.
  • Finalization of final vendor documentation.

Main Process Packages for process and utilities may be and not limited to the following systems: TEG Dehydrator /Regeneration Package, Dehydrator/desalter, Water Desalination, Water treatments such as clari-flocculation, sand/ultra-filtration, reverse osmosis, molecular sieves, Waste Water treatments (process / sanitary), Deoiling packages, Chemical dosing Packages, Air fractionation, N2 production (by membranes/ PSA/ cryogenic systems), H2 recovery, Refrigeration Packages, etc

QUALIFICATION: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Professional English Level

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Proven experience (at least 10 years) in the same or similar positions with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies.

IT SKILLS: Proficient in MS Office Tools

SOFT SKILLS: Proven experience in coordinating project teams of 10 - 15 persons on multi-centre realities

LOCATION: Milano (MI)

MOBILITY: Availability to travel for short periods (1 week to 1 Month)

Availability to be relocated abroad in both International Saipem Engineering Centers and or in Construction Site for a minimum of a year
