    • Define and collect system requirements for the system
    • Work on the feasibility of the system requirements for your system
    • Ensure the consistency of the system requirements for your system
    • Define with the IV&V manager team the bidirectional traceability (link to requirement, to child requirement/architecture and to V&V)
    • Require the confirmation of verifiability of the system requirement to Integration Verification Validation Management
    • Responsible to do escalation in case of conflicting goals within the requirements specification
    • Specified needs and technical requirements from the higher system level are converted to technical system requirements, consolidated (including phase-adequate assurance that requirements do not conflict with each other), checked regarding formal and content quality ad integrated into the requirements part of the system specification
    • Needs/requirements are documented and managed inc. changes (requirements baselining, in line with config. mgmt.).
    • Evaluate the (system) architecture alternatives, bring about and documents the decision

    • Identify target conflicts together with the relevant process partners (overarching responsibility with systems engineer).
