A Category Manager is responsible for managing a specific group or category of products within a company. The Category Manager develops strategies and oversee pricing, promotion, and product range management to maximize sales and profitability, tailoring the Category & Brand strategy, driving excellent execution on the channel.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead Off Trade strategy development and align with Marketing and Sales team on how to implement brand/customer plans and activations, setting the priorities;
  • Define right price and promo strategy by brand/subchannels, managing trade budget, monitoring deviation from budget and analyzing promo results;
  • Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category, ensuring an effective profit margin;
  • Define strategies for optimal in-store execution, developing sales tools and setting goals and priorities for Store Account team;
  • Support Sales team in all new listing projects (salesforce presentation, kpi’s traking, listing fee evaluation);
  • Analyze data or insights to determine competitors price and promo strategies, such as industry and consumer trends;
  • Liaise with marketing teams/sales to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.

The profile requires

Soft Skills:

  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability;
  • People management responsibilities.

Technical skills:

  • Proven experience as Trade Marketing Off Trade within Food & Beverage industry;
  • Solid knowledge of category management, trade marketing and sales principles;
  • Understanding of data analysis;
  • Proficient in MS Office;
  • English and Italian highly proficient;
  • Commercial experience is a plus.

How our recruitment process looks like:

If you are in line with listed requirements you will be contact by a member of the Talent team for a phone interview or a video interview to record. The standard process will involve two different steps of interviews with human resources team and Line Managers.

A logic-behavioural test, for some specific roles, could be required.
