Saipem is seeking an adept and experienced professional to lead our Supply Chain ESG Initiatives team. This role is central to orchestrating Saipem’s Supply Chain ESG Agenda, aligning it with our sustainability and strategic goals, and advancing initiatives that bolster our sustainability plan, intricately linked to Saipem’s strategic vision.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the Supply Chain ESG Initiatives team providing guidelines and priorities in order to meet Saipem sustainability targets
  • Lead and execute stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring robust internal and external collaboration
  • Direct the development of ESG integration plans, fostering sustainable practices throughout the supply chain
  • Construct and maintain a comprehensive monitoring system for Supply Chain sustainability risks, safeguarding the supply chain’s integrity, to monitor key sustainable supply chain indicators
  • Contribute to analyze and refine contractual clauses to minimize Saipem’s exposure to sustainability risks
  • Collaborate in shaping the narrative of Saipem’s supply chain commitment to sustainability highlighted in the Sustainability Plan and Report
  • Identify and endorse sustainable vendors, providing the Procurement departments with a robust framework for sustainable sourcing
  • Harmonize Supply Chain protocols with global regulations and certifications, ensuring compliance and best practices

Supply Chain ESG initiatives supports the:

  • Saipem’s decarbonization journey (Net Zero Program);
  • Full integration of sustainability aspects into Saipem's supply chain processes (Vendor qualification, bid and contract award, contract execution and Vendor feedback);
  • Alignment with the evolution of the regulatory framework and with the technological evolution of the market;
  • Digitization through the adoption of advanced platforms for the management of current and improved processes in relation to sustainability performances and carbon footprint;
  • Alignment with sustainability expectations of Saipem’s Clients.

Your unique strengths:

  • Over 10 years of work experience in complex context (Multinationals, Global Companies…) preferably in Oil & Gas Industry
  • Over 5 years’ experience in a similar role or in functions strictly linked to the Supply Chain
  • Degree in Economics or in Management Engineering (preferably with specialization in Green Management and Sustainability) or in Environmental Engineering;
  • Strong command of English
  • Good knowledge of the Office package (eg Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint);
  • Genuinely interested in sustainability / climate change issues and are up to date with developments in the sustainability field;
  • Project Management related skills with particular abilities on the management and planning of priorities and deadlines;
  • Proven track records in team leading (> 5 years)
  • Quick adaptability and independent learning capabilities, thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Initiative-driven mindset, autonomously navigating through complex challenges.
  • Collaborative spirit, eager to engage in cross-disciplinary and multi-tiered team settings.
  • Empathetic communicator, fostering positive interactions and flexible problem-solving approaches.
