Equipment Development Specialist - System integration

As Equipment Development Specialist - System integration, you will join in the business line Asset base services, supporting in the following tasks:

We are looking for a highly proactive and technically skilled individual to join our Pipeline Technologies team. The role involves defining and implementing layouts at workstations for process machines, analyzing project needs, and managing the necessary utilities and integration between process machinery and the plant.

  • Collaborate with the Operations office to define and realize workstation layouts.
  • Analyze project requirements and specific vessel/yard needs.
  • Define all utility needs (electrical power, compressed air, technical gases).
  • Manage companies or offices responsible for implementing related plants.
  • Understand pipe management logic and solve integration issues between process machines and the plant.

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred. Technical diplomas with significant experience considered.

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Good knowledge of English both written and spoken (at least B2)

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of experience for graduates; 5-6 years for diploma holders.

SOFT SKILLS: 

  • High proactivity and open-mindedness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Multidisciplinary approach and curiosity in learning new techniques and skills.

HARD SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP stack over Ethernet is a plus

LOCATION: Milan 

MOBILITY: Willingness to travel worldwide for missions lasting from 7 to 45 days on Saipem's naval vessels or land-based prefabrication yards.
