PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As Utilities Process Engineer, you will join our Department TEAM (Technology based Activities and Methods) which deals, among others, with the process design of Utilities and Offsite units, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities:
ACTIVITIES: Utilities Process Engineer is a professional engineer who elaborate, define, size and validate the various items, units and technical deliverables to be implemented in projects of various industrial sectors including sustainable natural gas, fertilizers, petrochemicals, refinery, power plants and waste recovery/recycling management. QUALIFICATION: Utilities Process Engineer should possess a Degree in Chemical Engineering
KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: good, both written and spoken
LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: Permanent Contract
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5-10
IT SKILLS: Candidate should have preferably experience on flare systems; therefore, in addition to other specific utilities design softwares (e.g. Pipenet, Civil 3D storm and sanitary analysis, Thermoflow, Hysys,…), the knowledge of Aspen Flare System Analyzer is considered a plus.
SOFT SKILLS: Some of the soft skills required to an Utilities Process Engineer are:
Communication skills: Utilities Process Engineer needs to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and managers. He needs to explain technical concepts in simple terms, write clear.
Teamwork skills: Utilities Process Engineer needs to collaborate with other engineers and professionals having different disciplines and backgrounds. He needs to listen and to respect different opinions, share knowledge and ideas, and contribute to the common goals and objectives of the team.
Problem-solving skills: Utilities Process Engineer needs to be able to identify and analyze problems, evaluate, and implement solutions. He needs to apply his engineering knowledge and skills creatively and innovatively.
Adaptability skills: Utilities Process Engineer needs to adapt to changing situations and requirements, such as new technologies, regulations, standards, or customer needs. He needs to adapt and apply knowledge and skills to new and different environments and situations.
NICE TO HAVE: Projects execution often foresees involvement of international branches or partners; in addition, plants commissioning and start up generally require support from process engineering. Consequently, even though the main location for the position will be Milan, availability for international mobility is requested.
