With our Business Line “Sustainable Infrastructure” we aim to play a key role in the execution of PNRR projects as well as further expand our presence internationally by focusing on high-tech rail infrastructure. In Italy we are working on the Brescia–Verona high-speed/high-capacity railway line and the Florence high-speed/high-capacity Passante and station. To strengthen the Supply Chain Function serving the "Sustainable Infrastructure" business line, we are looking for a Buyer who will support the purchasing activities to be carried out on new railway infrastructure projects being acquired in Northern Italy. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, below are the main activities that must be carried out at the Project operational sites in compliance with the relevant procedural standards: • verify completeness of Purchase Requests (i.e.: quality requirements, HSE..);
• in collaboration with the requesting units, definition of the most appropriate tender strategy (i.e.: market approach, list of suppliers to be involved...);
• where required, launch of market analyzes and scouting campaigns to identify new suppliers;
• launch of the supplier qualification process and support to the central Vendor Management structures for its management; • management of the tender process;
• economic/commercial tabulation and supplier selection;
• risk profile analysis (Due Diligence) of suppliers;
• negotiation of contractual terms and conditions and issuing of the Contract;
• archiving of contractual documentation. For adequate coverage of the position, possession of the following requirements will be considered:
• Degree in engineering or economics;
• 3-6 years of previous experience in a role in multinational companies: the candidate must have managed the same activities within complex infrastructure construction sites, preferably railway/metropolitan in Italy;
• Good knowledge of Office;
• Familiarity with the use of the most common management software in the sector (i.e.: SAP, Ariba sourcing, Synergo, Jaggaer..);
• Familiarity with the adoption of Public Procurement legislation and Anti-Mafia legislation;
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English. The profile is completed by:
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to complex organizational contexts from both a procedural and operational perspective;
• Collaborative spirit and decision-making autonomy;
• Availability for mobility.
