The Downstream Process and Technologies Department of Saipem Energy Carriers Business Line, is looking for a senior Polyolefin Process Engineer, with experience in process design of petrochemical complex, to be employed in its Milan Office.

Main activities and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the technological support and know-how to the project within the petrochemical production chain
  • Take part to the commercial activities (promotion, pre-qualification and bidding) by assuring uniform approach and guidance, and in the definition of the detail project execution strategy
  • Analyze the Tender Documents, ensure the drawing up of the contractual guarantees and liabilities
  • Ensure the assessment of the most effective technology available
  • Define list of activities and deliverables, setup time schedule, coordinate activities in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Ensure Discipline Project progress, monitor and control man-hour consumption and coordinate the process activities of the team members throughout the project
  • Grant interface with the Client technical representative
  • Grant the interface with the Technological Providers
  • Participate to performance tests and elaborates acceptance test report

Requirements:

  • Master’s Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Significant experience in petrochemical technology and process design
  • Proven experience in EPC petrochemical projects. Hands-on experience in relevant Petrochemical process technologies – like poliolefins and/or rubber production
  • A track record of delivering results on schedule.
  • Advance Knowledge of English Language

· Availability to travel abroad

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: at least of 5 years

IT SKILLS:

  • Good knowledge and utilization of the common productivity software;
  • Good knowledge and utilization of the common collaboration and co-working software;
  • Good knowledge and utilization of common Process simulation software.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills. You are expected to possess a proven ability to lead and/or work in multidisciplinary teams and be able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of initiative and independence.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Past exposure to an operational environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of a second non-native language
