For its Ciorani Plant, GVS Microfiltrazione is looking for an IT Manager, directly reporting to General Manager Romania and functionally reporting to Corporate IT Dept.

The eligible candidate will have overall responsibility for network and IT assets at GVS Microfiltrazione.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Responsible for resolution of IT issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service as soon as possible; escalating incidents to IT Corporate teams where necessary
  • Diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications
  • Assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service and confidentiality, ensuring that all internal customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient.
  • Assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
  • Interface with the IT Corporate Team to provide support in the development of local and corporate IT projects.
  • Management of local subcontractors as and when required.
  • Support the setting of an annual IT budget.
  • Monitor expenditure on an ongoing basis to ensure spend is within budget levels.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Have strong IT skills and proficient in using Windows, and all Microsoft packages including word, excel and outlook.
  • Have strong communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Advanced English knowledge would represent a plus
  • Be capable working efficiently and keeping to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have worked in IT for at least 3 years
