Site Logistics Officer

We are currently looking for a Site Logistics Officer, to be included in the Logistics department for the Supply Chain function, with the mission to adhere, promote and propose improvements to the Project logistic methods in accordance with project & business characteristics in strict coordination with Logistic Coordinator and Manager, with Technical departments, Operation departments and with Project Manager and to ensure that the logistics activities overall are performed in agreement with approved Logistics and QHSE procedures.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Apply the guidelines defined by headquarters for activities related to Logistics;
  • Verify and ensure that implementations of the Company’s Logistics system are understood and applied by Sub-contractors;
  • Follow up the execution phase of shipments of Company materials to/from the logistics base and shipyards;
  • Assist and liaise with vessel operations management, PMI, competent authorities, subcontractors and various functions involved in the supply chain management process in order to ensure that Project equipment and material mobilization/demobilization, customs clearance, tracking, handling, storage and final delivery onto offshore installation vessel are executed in a safe and timely manner;
  • Assist in fulfilling Marine Agency services, customs and immigration formalities, food/fuel/fresh waters/material supply and solid, liquid waste disposal/ crew change. All this in accordance with Project requirements, Corporate guidelines/procedures and HSE/security requirements;
  • Assist and Support the Project in accordance with the logistic plan and/or method of statement, under the supervision of the Site Logistics project organization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate owns:

  • Previous experience as logistics/customs officer;
  • Excellent knowledge of English language both written and spoken;
  • adaptive capability to different environments and multicultural work relations.

The candidate shall grant availability for frequent business trips abroad with durations that vary from one week to 2/3 months.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of:

  • data-base materials control systems (e.g. SAP) and has an analytical approach to material management
  • warehouse material management, inventory, reporting;
  • Procurement procedures;
  • Technical knowledge of shipping and logistics base/shipyard activities, including lifting/rigging;
  • Incoterms;
  • Waybills and transport documents;
  • Main customs regulation and regimes in an international transaction;
  • Common international standard in respect of cargo transportation and offshore standard regulation;
  • Microsoft Office 365 package.
