As JUNIOR ESTIMATOR, you will join our Department/Function Tendering/Estimating, in the business line ENCAR, conducting the following activities:

  • Support Proposal manager during the bid development with the aim of producing the best complete project cost estimate. 
  • Analyze tender and proposal documentation, analyze and understand the Scope of Works required by the client, project schedule, potential main resources (personnel and equipment) necessary for the execution of required scope of work. 
  • Participate and collaborate with Bid team in the definition of material and services procurement strategy during the bidding phase with the aim to identify the critical procurement items to be estimated by market enquire with the purpose of defining the correct Material Requisition needed for the cost build up. 
  • Support and cooperate with Proposal Manager in the selection of the reference market quotation to be included in the cost estimate for the finalization of cost estimate trough verification of received offer, preparation of Commercial Bid Evaluation according to Technical Bid Evaluation provided by technical departments.
  • Develop the entire cost estimate of the scope of work required by client including staff, manpower, construction equipment/consumables, assets, plant materials and subcontracts. 
  • Develop the detailed cost estimate for specific items providing a continuous improvement and update of internal costs database through the use of updated market prices and related trends.
  • To price and/or verify the pricing of Material Take off (project quantities) produced by the technical Department using internal costs database and with support/collaboration of Procurement Department and Engineering Department with the aim to provide the best cost estimate.
  • Ensure the assessment of Cost & Time of all project activities required by the scope of works at the basis of the bid (including management/ engineering/ procurement services).
  • Participate and contribute to internal cost review meeting during the bidding phase ensuring the preparation of internal documents needed for purpose.  
  • Prepare the bid price breakdown and any price/cost details (if required) for client use.
  • Prepare the initial project budgeting in case of contract award.

QUALIFICATION: Master Degree in Economics, Management Engineering

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: B2/C1

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years

IT SKILLS: Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Works duties organization capability to match the required deadlines.
  • Interest in learning, in-depth study and constant updating.
  • Flexibility and capabilities to work under pressure and manage complex and heavy pressure conditions, priority defining skill.
  • Good communication skills, sharing goals in a teamwork condition, efficient management of multiples interfaces both internal and external to company.
  • Availability for national and abroad mobilization.

NICE TO HAVE: Advanced Excel user; Basic use of power query, power BI or equivalent; Knowledge of general economic topics (Revenues, OPEX, CAPEX etc.)
