Downstream Process Engineer

As Downstream Process Engineer, you will join our department named DOTEC at SAIPEM Milano Headquarter, in the business line named ENCAR, to deal with all the process discipline design activities, with knowhow coverage aligned to the required level of experience, working on projects in the industrial sector of Downstream Processing Technology. Here below an example of such activities:

· To contribute to technical and economic Feasibility Studies development for new technologies/initiatives.

  • To develop complex process scheme models by using the most common process simulation software.
  • To develop all the process deliverables, such as PFD, H&MB, Equipment Data Sheet, Instruments Data Sheet, Process Control, P&ID, Process Summaries, needed for the detailed design development typical for Basic or Frontend Engineering projects as well as for EPC projects.  
  • To contribute to other engineering disciplines deliverables and Vendor prints production. 
  • To participate to site visit to assess the status of unit/plant/facility and gather the needed engineering documentations.
  • To support the final construction phase of the project along with pre-commissioning and commissioning phase, contributing to achieve the “ready for start-up” phase of the unit/plant/facility.
  • To attended to the functionality demonstration test of the designed unit/plant/facility and to the official unit/plant/facility Test Run.

QUALIFICATION: Master's degree in chemical engineering

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Advance Knowledge of English Language

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years of experience in the role

IT SKILLS:

Good knowledge and utilization of the common productivity software;

Good knowledge and utilization of the common collaboration and co-working software;

Good knowledge and utilization of common Process simulation software.

SOFT SKILLS:

Passion for Process Engineering discipline;

Effective and positive Communication attitudes;

Team working in multicultural environment;

Agile mindset together with a robust technical background.   

NICE TO HAVE:

Previous experience in process engineering: refinery unit/plant/facility, biomass-based unit/plant/facility, polymers production unit/plant/facility.

LOCATION: Milan (MI)
