Welding Technology Engineer

As Welding Technology Engineer, you will join our Welding Department in the business line Asset base services, supporting in the following tasks:

Mission and description :

  • After a training period in our Pipeline Technologies Center in Romania, you may be assigned on production sites (Onshore or Offshore) to follow up the pipeline welding activities.
  • You will be in charge to lead the welding team on site (approx. 20/30 Welders, Beveling machine operator, Welder Formen, Welding Equipment Technicians)
  • In Romanian Pipeline Technologies Center, you will participate to the development and qualifications of welding procedures or participate to welding R&D activities

· On site/Onboard you will be in charge of:

  • Supervising the welders training and qualifications activities
  • Supervising both pre-fabrication and fabrication activities during project execution
  • Verifying the correct appliance of qualified welding procedure and specification
  • Ensuring the quality of weld is achieved against the acceptance criteria of the project
  • Ensuring the targeted productivity is achieved
  • Verifying the availability of welding consumables during entire project execution
  • Issue Daily progress welding report
  • Reporting main quality and productivity achievements, problem encoured
  • Issuance of close out report at project completion (lessons learned, suggestions of improvement, etc)

QUALIFICATION: High school diploma minimum. Interested and Motivated by Welding is an essential asset.

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Good knowledge of English both written and spoken (at least B2)

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 0-1 years, ideally existing experience in welding, young profile could be accepted.

SOFT SKILLS: Sens of communication, flexible and good adaptability ,Problem Solving, Decision making, flexibility, teamwork.

LOCATION: Mobility: 6 to 12 months training period in Romania , then assignement onshore or offshore (worldwide: Brazil, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Angola, Nigeria, Italy, Australia, Indonesia, UK, Norway, …) with rotations

MOBILITY: in country / worldwide (for mission or contract)
