The Senior Mechanical Engineer investigates and troubleshoots current and new equipment and processes. In addition, this position provides multi - functional support of all manufacturing areas as necessary including production process, updating process documentation, and continuous process improvement.

CORE ACTIVITIES:

  • Analyze, investigate and solves equipment and process problems including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Responsible to create, update and maintain all process/maintenance procedures and work instructions to tack and improve operations
  • Troubleshoot and provide repair to production related equipment.
  • Manage Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Participate in new product development through design, testing, and validation activities.
  • Provide project management skills for new equipment purchases and general maintenance projects as required.
  • Write, review, and amend documents as necessary using the Document Control and ECR (Engineering Change Request) systems.
  • Support Quality and R&D, investigating non-conforming product issues and customer complaints and provide resolution including associated documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical) or Associates in engineering degree plus 5 years’ experience in a suitable manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Experience in web handling maintenance and design highly desirable.
  • Extended computer skills necessary, including Microsoft Office products, project management tools and techniques, document controls systems, knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks drafting software preferred.
  • Position may require occasional travel.
  • Position will require handling, labeling, moving and monitoring Hazardous and Universal Waste.
