Logistic Manager

For an international industrial company, leader in its sector, we are looking for:

Logistic Manager

The candidate will be responsible and accountable for the overall Materials Planning and Logistics area, determining how much and what type of materials and products to hold in the supply chain, which includes: managing inventory control, warehouse, distribution and replenishment plans.

Main responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all Material Planning & Logistics activities across the business
  • Create and implement best practice Material Planning & Logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Monitoring and management of logistics costs, providing support in the preparation of the budget and subsequent revisions, ensuring the achievement of KPIs in the short and long term
  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the materials planning and logistics strategy
  • Ensure a high level of quality in the distribution process, in terms of deadlines, quantities and costs
  • Provide leadership to departments under control and manage, coach and develop direct reports and manage high performing teams, that deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Material Planning & Logistics activities
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

Main requirements

  • University Degree in technical disciplines (Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain)
  • At last 8 years of experience in a similar role at international and structured realities of the industrial or automotive sector
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Self motivated, flexible and works well under pressure
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Fluent English (upper intermediate level minimum), a further Foreign Language is a plus
