Financial Controller

For a multinational group, leader in the automotive sector, we are looking for:

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

The candidate will report to the Europe Controlling Director, taking the responsibility for the overall management of Financial and Accounting issues for group’s subsidiary. He/she will provide financial forecasting and budgeting data for the company to Group Finance, also preparing and presenting the monthly financial report to the latter.

Main activities:

  • Be aware of the contribution of the Finance Department to the requirements of the Company’s Quality System at all times.
  • Ensure that all tasks undertaken satisfy the customers’ Quality Standards.
  • Manage the preparation of the internal monthly Management Accounts.
  • Support other departmental managers on financial matters.
  • Raise awareness of other managers of financial implications of their actions.
  • Provide advice to managers on financial ‘best practice’.
  • Control and manage all financial processes.
  • Ensure the efficient utilisation of financial resources to obtain best benefits for the Company.
  • Provide support to the Plant Manager on financial and general business matters.
  • Provide product costing information and to liaise with Group costing department keeping all base data up-to-date.
  • Carry out staff appraisal and development interviews for his team (controller, accountant)
  • Carry out their responsibilities at all times in compliance with the relevant Health and Safety regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors to prepare annual accounts.
  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with external auditors.
  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with Company bankers
  • Establish & maintain strong working relationships with Group Finance functions

 Main requirements:

  • University degree
  • Professional Finance Qualification is a must
  • The candidate must have a previous experience in a manufacturing environment and of working in an international matrix organization
  • Previous experience in auditing firms is a plus
  • Excellent English level

  • Good communicator
  • Financially astute
